High Volume SMS (using either a long-code or toll-free number) should be used when primarily sending marketing or automated messages, and you do not need to utilize the RingCentral App for 1:1 conversations. Toll-free SMS does not support MMS, and has limited international support. Toll-free SMS may be used when you want a toll-free number, or wish to maintain the ability to send and receive SMS through the RingCentral app while sending up to 40 messages/ minute (up to 50,000/day), automated messages, or marketing messages. However, these numbers have significant limitations including being able to send only 200 messages per day, and may not be used for automated or marketing messages. ![]() Long code numbers used with our included Business SMS provide better support internationally, and can be localized for specific regions.
